DESCRIPTION
This tough perennial grows in alpine woods and pastures, and for centuries has been held in high esteem as an anti inflammatory by European herbalists.
Best known as an effective ointment and compress for bruises, sprains and muscle pain, arnica improves the local blood supply to damaged areas and can accelerate healing. A stimulant of circulation, it might be of particular value to those suffering from angina and weak or failing hearts and could also be used to treat rheumatic pain and chilblains.
